The PG Group started manufacturing CRT TVs in 1995 at its Noida facility. PG later started manufacturing Colour TVs in 1997, and then grew to become the number one player in TV manufacturing in India by 2009. After the advent of flat-screen TVs, most of the value addition and TV manufacturing shifted out of India, so PGEL made the strategic decision to wind-down their TV manufacturing vertical, and refocus resources and energies in other products and plastic moulding operations.

However, due to recent Government initiatives encouraging 'Make in India', 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat', and a shift in the taxation regime to encourage import substitution, PG has decided to re-enter the TV manufacturing business. We now offer LED televisions in screen sizes ranging from 24” to 70” in both smart and analog categories. In the smart category, our ODM and OEM solutions are available in webOS, AOSP and Google-certified Android OS.

We have a backward integrated manufacturing facility for LED televisions with the SMT process, PCB assembly, plastic moulding, open-cell panel assembly, final product assembly and testing processes taking place in-house at our plant in Greater Noida. We also have in-house 3D SPI and AOI inspection machines for testing the PCB assemblies.

We already have strong relationships with suppliers for various components like remotes, packaging, EPS, sheet metal components and so on, while we are investing in state-of-the-art clean rooms, open cell assembly machinery, and fully-automatic assembly lines to capitalise on the LED TV manufacturing market.
